You are viewing originally created designs, a few examples from over 300 custom designs, exclusive property of Linda E. Wallace. All designs are my original concepts and can be adapted to any size space!
This process is called “OVERGLAZE”, meaning that the pigments are painted over a primary glazed tile and fired into it. The tiles are triple-fired, each firing enhancing the color intensity and detail you see in my work.
The color will not fade, cannot be scrubbed or bleached off or altered in any way. The is the identical process used to produce fine china and porcelain for centuries. The pigments are hand-ground and mixed daily by the artist and not commercially prepared in order to insure the ultimate clarity of color.
Most of the kitchen concepts fit exactly within a normal tile space above the cooktop and under the bottom of most kitchen cabinets, my “ribbons” and “spotter tiles” can fit beautifully.
Coordinating your color scheme, fabric design, wallpaper motifs into a custom work of art is the idea, full scale drawings are provided for your approval with color samples. Six to eight weeks is necessary for completion of most jobs. All tiles are fired in my personal tile art studio just north of Atlanta area. No one else is involved in this process to assure perfection of the product!
Hand-painted tile vignettes, murals, borders, can become your decorative focal point inside or outside your home.

- In your bath – shower, vanity walls
